Nonsense. None of this has anything to do with any of what these trolls are saying. It's all about growing up on an alien world.
I would like to thank mister ebert for alerting us to john prine all those years ago😊
I miss these guys
The first act was great, and then it meanders randomly until the credits roll. Nearly all the good parts and quotes people talk about are contained within the opening thirty minutes.
Man Ebert really got it . . .
One of the great movies of all time😮
I won a set of L. Ron Hubbard playing cards, at a classics screening of Repo Man, with my extensive Repo trivia knowledge.
DEFINITELY not a meditation movie. It's a REALIZATION movie!
The movie is total CRAP!
Was Roger just a far gay dude who hated everything
Comment
I knew Ebert would like it, and Siskel not so much
Siskel was such an artless chump.
Hello from 2024
Repo Man rules. What a pleasure to hear these two (briefly) discuss it
Kickass soundtrack......I hope they dont make a newer version
They're way over analyzing this movie. It's just a simple comedy. It's not a commentary on any cultural norm. Sheesh.
My dad and I must have watched this movie 20 times on the VHS together. I could quote almost every line in this movie and do so in every day situations. I miss my dad. Love you!
TV PARTY TONIGHT!
man, Roger is right on the money here. miss these two!
RIP to Mr. Siskel and Mr. Ebert
Cheers to those two wise men. I’m grateful for youtube where we can watch their great movie takes forever. RIP
Sometimes this film is straight up comedy. But scary if you don't get the jokes.
The “L’Age D’or” comparison is on point
Creepy. I couldn't watch more than twenty minutes of it.
I really wish I ever had the chance to see this film in a cinema.
"You'll find one in every car..."
Top 20 films of all time for me
I rented this movie by chance at age 16 and loved it (still do)!! This isn't a movie for the wine & cheese crowd, Ebert has a clue on life and nails this one. I have this movie on DVD and the soundtrack on CD (ripped to MP3s now).
Dead Kennedy's "You bawl like the baby in Eraserhead!"
😊❤great
Really tough one...appreciate the individuality of it. No desire to get thru it.
Put it on a plate, son. You'll enjoy it more...
Repo Man is the melon-farming bomb.
The films appeal IMHO is that it is the very best non traditional story telling u will ever see bc it's out there way way way out there but its also either intentionally or unintentionally very funny u decide but Def see this movie bc there's absolutely nothing like it anywhere in film😮🎉❤
Rare L
The meaning of Eraserhead rests on nightmares and subconscious, in some place between real and dream world If you reject that idea...you won't be prepared for the movie
Siskel was definitely the weak link of the pair.
Aww, Dookie wooky hurt his wittle hand..... Oh dear, what a shame.
Ebert was a film connaisseur. Siskel was a comb over enthusiast.
Not a word of English is heard on this movie, yet it's one of the most awe inspiring and mesmering movies I've ever seen. I absolutely love Koyaanisqatsi and I think it's a masterpiece and even more relevant now than it was 40 years ago
The fact they're conscious at the end proves it's bs.
If you did enjoy this great movie, be sure to find the time to watch the movie Straight To Hell by the same fella.
I’m surprised it didn’t go straight over Ebert’s head like Brain Candy did
I still listen to the OST almost every day during my commute to and from work. It's infected my mind since my first theatrical viewing in the early '80s. I could never shake it and instead embraced it as part of my existence. Phillip Gass is a musical shaman.
One of the greatest films of the 80s.
When I saw the chain restaurant Twin peaks, I thought of the chickens scene in Eraserhead.
i miss siskel and ebert - so entertaining
It's different, I don't like it. HA!
I saw this when it premiered in 1983. Changed my life. Breathtaking!
Why are so many commenters saying that Ebert liked the movie? In this clip he never says that he likes it. Are people really this incapable of understanding the English language? It's almost as if they think that Ebert HAD to like Eraserhead simply because Siskel DIDN'T like it.
